This clinic is devoted to the treatment of a set of conditions collectively known as Autistic Spectrum Disorders.  These include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Asperger's Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorders-NOS, and Autism.

We employ a biomedical approach, which encompasses gastrointestinal healing, nutritional supplementation, immunologic support and detoxification.  In select cases this also includes addressing the issue of heavy metal poisoning.  these approaches are implemented after appropriate testing, usually performed on a variety of samples including blood, urine, stool and hair.

In addition to behavioral therapies and special education programs, the majority of patients suffering from ASDs are typically managed by psychopharmacologic agents including antipsychotics medication in selective situations, research is now showing that these children suffer from a variety of additional and different medical problems, including multiple food sensitivities, intestinal flora imbalance and infection, immunologic dysregulation, and central nervous system autoimmunity.  Although often unrecognized by both parents and professionals, these conditions are treatable.  As these illnesses are addressed, the overall health of the child is improved.
